3/23/2011 - Back to Tel Aviv to Meet the Rest of our Group

After leaving the Weizmann Institute, we returned to Sheila and Yitzchak's house fo a light lunch of Hummus, freshly baked Yemenite bread and olives and tomatoes.   Za'atar was ready for spooning.

We then backed the car, said our goodbyes and headed back to Tel Aviv.

After checking into the Carlton Hotel, we returned our rental car and headed to Ben Gurion Airport to meet the rest of our group.  After waiting for about an hour, we finally saw the first of them come through customs and moved toward our bus.

We got back to the hotel and had about an hour to resettle in our room before heading to dinner at Maganda for a Middle Eastern meal - hummus, olives, roasted eggplant and other salads, dabobs of chicken and meat, baklava and mint tea.

Once dinner was over, we returned to the bus and the hotel for the night.  We requested a 6:15 a.m. wake-up call so that we could walk with Rabbi Susan before starting our day.
