3/22/2011 - Afternoon Hike in the Flowers

After leaving Ayalon, we returned to the house for a quick snack and joined Sheila for a walk through the flowers now blooming outside of Rehovot.  The Calanit, red poppy-like flowers, and wild Cyclamen covered the hills along with other yellow and pink flowers.  There were also dark purple velvet-like flowers that looked like a lily of some sort in various places on the hill.

We stopped for tea and fruit along the way before returning to Rehovot via Ramla.

Yitzchak wanted to show us the Shuk/market in Ramla, but we arrived too close to 5 p.m. and the market was closed.

We rested upon returning home so we would be fresher for dinner and also hungry.

We had a lovely meat dinner at Tokopaya - an appetizer, dinner and dessert.  We celebrated Sheila and Yitzchak's 36th wedding anniversary on March 12 and Suzan and Allan's 49th anniversary on March 4.  A beautiful way to spent our last night in Rehovot.
